The 2022 QNU Matriculation Ceremony was held at the Yat-sen Square, Main Campus of QNU, on the afternoon of Oct. 23, with more than 5700 freshman attendees.
President Qu Guangqing addressed the audience with the speech entitled Live up to the Grandeur of the Times and Go Far to Make All the Difference, evoking among them a sense of patriotism and aspirations for the future. He encouraged the students to devote themselves to their personal growth and our national prospects when embarking on a new college journey in their endeavors to improve internal qualities and capabilities so as to better serve the country and the people.
The representatives of teachers, upperclassmen, overseas students, postgraduates and undergraduates delivered their speeches respectively.
As a traditional practice, eight freshmen who were born on Oct. 23 received official blessings and birthday gifts. There was also a performance of birthday songs by teachers and students from the School of Music and Dance.
